  • Transport for Wales

Transport for Wales (TfW) were looking for a technology partner to help deliver an EMV Account-Based Ticketing solution. The solution had to manage initially over 6 million customer rail journeys a year in the South Wales Metro area by 2026. It also needed to integrate with TfW's existing mobile app and websites, enabling customers to use a contactless EMV (cEMV) bank card to tap on and tap off public transport.

  • Milton Keynes City Council

Milton Keynes has high levels of commuting, as it is home to more than 12,000 businesses and accommodates over 180,000 employees. The city council developed the Get Around MK brand to promote sustainable travel. Unicard fully integrated a new Get Around MK mobile app with their existing system, building on the success of the existing platform that we developed for TfWM.

  • Transport Scotland

Transport Scotland is the national transport agency for Scotland. They seek to deliver a safe, efficient, cost-effective and sustainable transport system for the benefit of the people of Scotland, playing a key role in helping to achieve the Scottish Government’s purpose of increasing sustainable economic growth with opportunities for all of Scotland to flourish. We supported this vision with an AMS-HOPS for concessionary travel used by 1 in 4 Scottish people.

  • Nottinghamshire County Council

Nottinghamshire County Council oversees the transport needs of a diverse county covering 805 square miles, where a third of the population live in rural areas, and has more than 160,000 ENCTS cards in circulation. Unicard supplied the framework for a smart ticketing platform - including a CMS, CCRS and HOPS - that allowed contactless smartcards to be used for bus travel, supporting concessionary passes for elderly and disabled residents, as well as paid-for travel passes.
